This Privacy Policy describes how XBrowser (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the XBrowser mobile application (the “App”). XBrowser is designed so that most browsing data stays on your device. This document is an informational product disclosure and is not legal advice.
1. Who we are
The App is published by XBrowser. For privacy questions, contact gaowei85714@gmail.com.
2. Summary
- Browsing history, cookies, site storage, and Dual Account sessions are stored on your device by default.
- We do not require you to create an online account with us to use the App.
- Optional system features (App Lock, Face ID, photo library, location “Ask”) use Apple APIs on-device.
- We use Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) and Google AdMob (with consent / ATT where required).
- Dual Accounts and location spoofing do not change your network IP address or make you anonymous on the internet.
3. Information on your device
Depending on how you use the App, the following may be stored locally:
- Browsing data — page titles, URLs, history, cookies, caches, and website storage for tabs you open.
- Dual Accounts (containers) — separate cookie and site-data stores, account names, colors, and optional per-account location settings (Deny, Ask, or spoofed coordinates / city).
- Settings — preferences such as ad/tracker blocking, Shorts Focus, HTTPS First, clear-on-exit options, themes, and search engine choice.
- Downloads, bookmarks, reading list, shortcuts — items you save in the App.
- Passwords & form data (optional) — if you use the password vault features, credentials are stored using on-device encryption and the system Keychain / App Group; we do not operate a sync server for vault contents.
- App Lock secrets — PIN/pattern or biometric unlock configuration stored securely on device.
- Tab snapshots — optional preview images of open tabs stored locally.
You can clear browsing data manually and configure Clear Option to auto-clear cache, cookies, history, and/or local storage when you leave the App.
4. Dual Accounts & location
Dual Accounts keep separate cookies and site data so you can stay signed in to different logins side by side. Per-account location can Deny, Ask, or Spoof a virtual city (and matching timezone when possible) for sites that use the browser Geolocation API.
Important limits: spoofed location does not change your network IP. Sites that detect location via IP, account data, or fingerprinting are outside this control. No browser can fully prevent fingerprinting on the open web. XBrowser focuses on practical tracking reduction, cleaner pages, and local data control—not absolute anonymity.
5. Ad & tracker blocking; Shorts Focus
When enabled, the App blocks known ad and tracker network requests and may hide common page banners using WebKit content rules. Shorts Focus can hide YouTube Shorts shelves and redirect Shorts links. These features are best-effort and may stop working when websites change. Filter lists may be updated over the network so the App can recover after site changes.
6. Information we collect via third parties
To operate, improve, and monetize the App, we use the following third-party services. Their processing is governed by their own policies as well as applicable consent frameworks.
6.1 Google Firebase
- Analytics — aggregated app usage events (for example app open, screen views, feature triggers).
- Crashlytics — crash and diagnostic data to fix stability issues.
- Remote Config — configuration flags (for example whether ads are enabled, ad unit identifiers).
Firebase may process device identifiers and diagnostic data as described in Google’s Firebase privacy documentation.
6.2 Google AdMob & advertising consent
The App may show ads (including app-open and interstitial formats) through Google AdMob. We use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent where required (for example EEA/UK) and may present Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt via the configured IDFA explainer.
- If you allow tracking, advertising partners may use the device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads and measurement.
- If you decline, we still may show non-personalized or limited ads when allowed by policy and
canRequestAdsstatus. - You may reopen privacy choices from Settings → Ad Privacy Choices when Apple / Google require it.

7. Permissions
- Face ID / biometrics — only to unlock the App when App Lock is enabled.
- Photo library (add) — only when you save a screenshot.
- Location (when in use) — only if you set location mode to Ask and a website requests coordinates; Deny/Spoof modes do not require sharing your real GPS with sites.
- Background audio / notifications — used for optional media playback and download completion alerts you enable.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Data retention & deletion
Local browsing data remains until you clear it, uninstall the App, or auto-clear runs according to your Clear Option settings. Analytics and crash data retained by Google are subject to Google’s retention practices. Uninstalling the App removes local App data from the device (subject to iOS behavior for Keychain / App Group items).
10. International processing
Third-party providers such as Google may process data on servers outside your country. Where required, consent and transfer mechanisms are handled under their platforms and applicable law.
11. Your choices
- Turn off Block Ads & Trackers, Shorts Focus, or other features in Settings.
- Use Clear Option / Clear Browsing Data to remove local data.
- Limit ad tracking via iOS Settings and in-app Ad Privacy Choices.
- Disable App Lock or biometrics at any time in Settings.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
